30 Days of Doctor Who | Day 19: Favourite ship
I planned to be ‘hilarious’ & say: TARDIS, but I realised that I do have a favourite ship: Doctor & River Song.
I have no idea who River is, but it doesn’t change the fact that I love her relationship with Doctor. (It’s obvious that they are married, come on. Joking, I have no idea if they are. But it looks like they are. Because River is all ‘heel, boy!’). I also love how their relationship changed: while Ten was clearly scared of her & the fact that he has no idea who she is, Eleven is fascinated & smitten by her. And I really cannot wait for farther developement of this ~thing between them.
Also, I just love how for once, it’s not Doctor who knows more than everyone else. River knows more than he does, it scares him, while she’s all smugness and ‘spoilers!’. It will soon change, I do realise, so I will enjoy it while it lasts.

The towers sang and you cried. You wouldn’t tell me why, but I suppose you knew it was time. My time. Time to come to the Library. You even gave me your screwdriver. That should have been a clue. There’s nothing you can do.”
The Doctor: “You can let me do this!”
River: “If you die here, it’ll mean I’ve never met you!”
The Doctor: “Time can be rewritten.”
River: “Not those times. Not one line. Don’t you dare! It’s OK. It’s OK. It’s not over for you. You’ll see me again. You’ve got all of that to come. You and me, time and space. You watch us run.”
The Doctor: “River, you know my name. You whispered my name in my ear. There’s only one reason I would ever tell anyone my name. There’s only one time I could…”
